Effect of Inorganic Salts on the Oxidation of Asphal

Abstract

Recent experiments conducted at Hydrocarbon Development Institute of Pakistan (HDIP) to determine the effect of inorganic salts on the oxidation of asphalt indicate that manganese dioxide and some metal chlorides when used as catalysts accelerate the oxidation process of asphalt and improve its properties.
